Ya’nu lake, also known as Wawushan reservoir, is an alpine lake formed after the completion of Wawushan Hydropower Station in 2007. The high gorge leads out of the Pinghu Lake. The lake is as flat as a mirror, reflecting the light and cloud shadow of the sky. It is like the gentle and quiet of an elegant woman. Therefore, the elegant woman lake is named. The lake has a water area of 14 square kilometers, a length of 19.04 kilometers, a width of 13.31 kilometers, and a water storage capacity of 600million cubic meters. The average altitude of the reservoir area is about 1100 meters, and the annual average temperature is 16.8 ℃. There are 7 Gorges, 18 peninsulas, and 24 large and small wharves surrounded by mountains and trees. With beautiful ecological environment and fresh air around the lake, it is one of the best scenic spots to overlook Wawu mountain and enjoy the whole picture of Wawu mountain.
